第295回通常例会/Regular Meeting No.295

We have our regular meeting on the 2nd and 4th Sunday 10AM-12PM Japan Time.

The Yokohama Ocean TMC Meeting started from 10：00 on time.

Today is the 2nd Sunday, so meeting hold by online only.



 

Our president TM HK made an opening remark.

Then he passed meeting control to the Toastmaster of the day (Meeting master) TM TO who is one of the experienced Toastmaster.

Then Word of Morning in English was announced as Reservation (Doubt)　by KA.

Next is prepared speech session. TM CB’s first speech. Her title is “The neighbor of life”.

Talk about wisdom which is related her name origin.

Her powerful voice without script and using Body language was well organized and I cannot believe she was the first timer.

 

The next speech is TM SA’s speech. His speech title is “A Land of Serenity and Splendor “

His speech was about home country, Sri Lanka. Their Religion (Buddhism, Hindu, Muslim mixture) National flag, geography, history, Culture, etc.

Sri Lankan video made us attracted to visit Sri Lanka in the future.

 

The next is Table topic session. The Table Topic master TM JY made following questions:

Q1 What was your best memory about cheery blossom?

TM SO  : Omoikawa hot spa in Tochigi. Goemon buro bath in front of cheery blossom was excellent.

 

Q2 What was the Greatest change in your life?

TM MW : Tried to be healthy than before. She changed her choice from Beer to Non-Alcohol Beer.

 

Q3 What is the Greatest misfortune?

Guest YU : Loss of Grandma was the largest misfortune.

 

Then evaluation session started

Evaluation for 1st speech is made byTM MK.

She mentioned Confident and Organized Memorable words and advised to emphasize and repeat key word more.

 

Evaluation for 2nd speech is made by LKP.

He pointed out excelled of the Title, Presentation material and advised to improve how to use clearer for audience.

 

休憩時間の後は日本語のセッションです。

今朝のことばはLKPから「大胆不敵」という言葉が紹介されました。

 

本日３人目のスピートは TM TS による「私の思い出」という題名のスピーチでした。

留学時代の経験、合唱コンテストでSMAPの曲を中国語で歌って優勝したことが思い出で、この経験が現職にも役に立っており、また仕事で台湾にいきたいというお話でした。

 

次にテーブルトピックセッションです。本日のテーブルトピックマスター TM SO から以下の質問が出されました。

 

Q1　挑戦したいことは何ですか？　

Guest Mさん ：水泳　フィリピンに留学を予定していて、その時楽しめるように泳げるようにしたい

 

Q2　学生時代で印象に残っていることは？

Gest Tさん ：社交ダンス。先輩の誘いをきっかけに始めて、あっという間に４年終わった

 

Q3 新しい環境に適応するために心がけていること　

Gest Aさん ：新しい人に話かけること　その中で共通の話題を探して相手をよく知って馴染むこと

 

話す機会の少ないゲストさんを多く指名し、その回答に対して、TTMから気の利いたコメントをされているのが進行役として良かったと思います。

 

続いて準備スピーカーへの論評です。　日本語スピーチへのKSさんによる論評は、パスウェイズマニュアル通りで分かり易い身近なストーリであって、写真もあって分かり易かったグッドポイントを挙げつつ、意図的に聴衆に質問を振る事の提案がなされました。

 

最後に総合論評です。本日はTM　HKの担当です。

トーストマスターズクラブではTM〇〇と呼ぶのですが、TM○○さん、は二重敬称なので、「TM」「さん」などと重ねないように気を付けましょうという点を全体の注意点として挙げつつ、ゲストへの配慮がなされた例会でタイムマネジメント自体はよかったと全体総評。

１０分総合論評の時間をフルにつかって細かく論評されていたのが良かったと思います。

文法えーとカウンターレポートがCTさんから発表され、Ah, えーっと、などというFiller wordsとWODの回数を発表されました。

 

最後に所要により途中退席されたTM TOさんに代わりTM KSさん　による代理表彰が行われ以下の方々が本日の表彰者と発表されました。おめでとうございます。

最後にゲストの方々や本日発言機会の少なかった方々からコメントを頂き例会は修了しました。

第315回 通常例会 / Regular Meeting No.315

 Sunday, February 11, 2024, the first meeting of February, the online meeting was held in the morning. The meeting was held from 10:00 a.m. to noon with a total of 15 participants. And usually the meetings are separated by about one hour each for English and Japanese. Today, however, since there were one prepared speech in English and three prepared speeches in Japanese, the first half of the English session lasted about 45 minutes, while the second half of the Japanese session lasted a little over an hour. 2024年2月11日（日）、2月の1回目、今日はオンライン例会が開催されました。 1名のゲストを迎え、合計15名の参加者で、午前10時から正午までの2時間のミーティングで、通常は英語の部と日本語の部、各1時間程度ずつですが、今日は英語の準備スピーチ1名、日本語の準備スピーチが3名と言うスタイルだったことから、前半の英語の部が約45分、後半の日本語の部が約1時間強と言うスケジュールとなりました。 Today's facilitator, Toastmaster of the Morning (TMOM), was TM TS, a first-time TMOM.
