第309回 通常例会 / Regular Meeting No.309

 横浜オーシャントーストマスターズクラブ（以下，YOTMC）はチャーターから10年目を迎え，例会も本日で309回。本日の例会はオンライン。YOTMCは日本語＆英語のバイリンガルクラブで，日本語又は英語を学びたいという言語学習者が複数いますが，YOTMCではZOOMの翻訳字幕による外国語サポート機能があるので，安心して参加できます。

今日のTMOMはS田さん。プログラムを事前にきっちり作成して臨まれており，例会もスムーズに進みます。事前の準備が大事だなと改めて思う，すばらしいファシリテーションでした。

1st half was in English. There were two prepared speeches. The first speaker was our club’s Vice President of Education, TM I. The speech title was “Shortage of xxx   “ and the speech objective was “Researching and Presenting”. We learned the importance of re-skilling from his speech; even under uncertain an unpreferable situation of labor shortage, it is important to challenge ourselves to adjust and acquire new knowledge and skills. YOTMC is a great place we can do😊

The second speaker was a new member, TM L. It was his first ice breaker speech. He made a well-organized visual aid with pictures. Apparently he was well prepared in advance. We got to know his background and personality well through his successful speech. Welcome to YOTMC 😊

English Table Topics master was Vice President of Membership, TM K. It was confirmed through this Table Topics project that TM K has sufficient ability of active listening. For active listening, nodding your head, smiling and eye contact are key skills. TM K had all the technique!!

After the Table Topics, there was an evaluation session. Three evaluators, TM J, TM S and TM W, provided valuable evaluations for each speaker. Their evaluations were clear, why the speech was successful. And they contained potential improvement points, how each speaker could be even better. Feedback is always helpful to improve one more step.

後半は日本語の部。日本語スピーチは1本で，スピーカーは広報係のTさん。スピーチタイトルは『君に出会えてよかった』で，目的はボーカルバラエティ。Tさんがハマったドラマの面白さを，声の大きさやトーンを変えるボーカルバラエティの技術を効果的に使って，伝えてくれました。このドラマ，年末に再放送されると聞いて，絶対観ようとしっかり感化された記録係（TM W）でした（笑）。

日本語テーブルトピックスマスターは，E藤さん。いつも穏やかで落ち着いている雰囲気なのに，キレのある質問をされるので，いい意味で緊張感がでます。

テーブルトピックスの後は論評セッション。Tさんのスピーチの論評者はS木さん。Tさんのスピーチはとても上手で，改善点を探すのが記録係 Wは難しかったのですが，さすがS木さん。そのポイントがあったか！という感心するすらばらいい指摘をされていました。

通常例会の他にも，今日はクラブメンバーから嬉しいニュースがたくさんありました！！

メンバーの一人は、お子様がお生まれになりました。本当に可愛いらしい女の子です。
おめでとうございます！

他にも、半年かけて執筆されていた本がAmazon Kindleで出版されたメンバーもいます！すごいです！

あるメンバーは、お子さんが地上波テレビ番組に子役として出演！これは観なきゃ！

さらにもう一人、会社のプロジェクト関連で，ご自身が地上波テレビに登場！これも観ないと！

さらには，トーストマスターズのディビジョントレーニング（約30クラブから参加）に，YOTMCの複数メンバーが，ホスト運営，スピーカー，教育セッションの講師として貢献されました！

YOTMCは多様なスキルを持ったいろいろな方が集まっていて，リスキリング（英語スピーチでの学び（笑））

に最適な場所だと思います。次の例会も楽しみです！

第315回 通常例会 / Regular Meeting No.315

 Sunday, February 11, 2024, the first meeting of February, the online meeting was held in the morning. The meeting was held from 10:00 a.m. to noon with a total of 15 participants. And usually the meetings are separated by about one hour each for English and Japanese. Today, however, since there were one prepared speech in English and three prepared speeches in Japanese, the first half of the English session lasted about 45 minutes, while the second half of the Japanese session lasted a little over an hour. 2024年2月11日（日）、2月の1回目、今日はオンライン例会が開催されました。 1名のゲストを迎え、合計15名の参加者で、午前10時から正午までの2時間のミーティングで、通常は英語の部と日本語の部、各1時間程度ずつですが、今日は英語の準備スピーチ1名、日本語の準備スピーチが3名と言うスタイルだったことから、前半の英語の部が約45分、後半の日本語の部が約1時間強と言うスケジュールとなりました。 Today's facilitator, Toastmaster of the Morning (TMOM), was TM TS, a first-time TMOM.
