今日の例会はスペシャルな内容でした！
Kさんによる「論評ワークショップ ～やさしい、役に立つ、刺激的な論評とは～」が開催されたのです！我らが、ベテランメンバー、Iさんのスピーチに対して、Kさん、そして3名のゲスト論評者が論評スピーチを行い、その後は論評の内容についてのパネルディスカッションをするというもの。
Iさんのスピーチタイトルは、「翼の折れたエンジェル２」。
2回目のパワーアップしたスピーチでした。タイトルは、お仕事での多忙さから、Iさんの翼が折れてしまっているというところから来ていました。満身創痍状態でも、スピーチの内容は、ユーモアがあり、前向きに頑張っていこう、というIさんの意気込みが感じられました。素晴らしいスピーチではありますが、論評者は褒めるだけではありません。第三者目線で聞くからこそ、感じる改善点もしっかり伝えます。
最初の論評者は、WSの企画者でもあるKさん。最後の聴衆に向けた提案の数について少し多いのではないか、とのフィードバック。
2番目の論評者、Oさんは、歌で始まっているので歌で終わると面白いかも？
後半にも例え話を盛り込んではどうでしょう。というアドバイスをされました。
3番目の論評者、我らが会長のWさんからは、４つの提案を今日のスピーチへどのように活かしたか、仕事の改善がどのようにされたのかが聞けたら、と伝えていました。
最後の論評者、Kさんからは、「翼が折れている」という意味が少しわかりにくい。
仕事の話？ストレス解消の話なのか、とわかるまで時間必要だった。
ストレスが溜まっている理由を丁寧にたどるとベター。共感もうひと押し。など愛のある辛口コメントがありました。
改善点だけピックアップしていますが、もちろん良い点もそれぞれの目線でフィードバックされています。スピーチは聴衆あってのもの。一人で練習出来ないことはありませんが、聞き手からの反応をもらうことで、自分では気が付かなかった視点や考えにハッとします。信頼できる仲間からの改善アドバイスはストンと、落ちてきますし、“ありがたい”という気持ちが湧いてくるのです。伝え方、だいじですね。
The second half was an English session.
This morning's word was "Sparkle" chosen by Ms. E. It is a perfect word for the Christmas season.
Now, the English speech is "2023 Reflection and 2024 Resolution" by Ms. W.
She has 3 pillars that mean a lot to her such as Family and friends, Health, and Passion. She explained in an easy-to-understand way with an example using a mayonnaise jar to describe important things in one’s life.
What do you put into a jar?
Large objects like golf balls are the most important. Small stones are other important things. Sand is the trivial things. When the bin is turned over, the first thing that falls out is the sand, followed by the small stones, and the last thing that remains is the golf ball. The demonstration with the actual bottle help us to imagine easily. As the year 2023 is almost come to an end, it was a good opportunity to look at ourselves and reflect on what we value once again. The question is, "What do you value the most? This resonated with me (and I'm sure I'm not the only one) who is so occupied with living day to day that I tend to misplace my priorities.
