第320回 ハイブリッド通常例会 / Hybrid Regular Meeting No.320

 4月29日(日)10:00～、
今日も横浜オーシャントーストマスターズクラブ(YOTMC)の例会がハイブリット形式で始まりました。

今日はリアル会場である横浜技能文化会館、オンライン上、いずれも多数のご参加を頂きました。



会長Wさんのオープニングに引き続き、今日のToastmaster of the day(司会)であるEさんから今日のヘルパーが紹介されました。計時：Sさん、集計Wさん、文法係・えーとカウンターKさん、記録係Iさん。今朝の言葉はIさんから「優雅な」と発表されました。


続いて今日の日本語準備スピーチです。
Sさんから「ご機嫌様」というお題で、EQの大切さを仕事での実体験も交えて優雅にお話頂きました。どんなにITやAIが発達しても私たちは人間であることは変わらないので改めてEQの大切さに気が付けた、とてもよい内容でした。


続いて日本語のテーブルトピックセッション（即興スピーチ）ではテーブルトピックマスターのSさんからの出題に対し、Q１チームメイトとぎくしゃくしたエピソードをKさんがお答えいただいたのが良い見本になったのか、Q2～4 新しいチャレンジのエピソードをゲストのご三方が積極的にチャレンジ頂き、いずれの方も時間内で適格なスピーチをされていてとても活発なセッションとなりました。

続いての論評のコーナーでは九州からオンラインで参加のTさんがSさんのスピーチに対して分かりやすく適格なアドバイスをされました。


After short break, we proceeded to the English session. TM E and her helper continued to serve as Toastmaster of the morning.

Today’s word of the day had introduced as “Golden Opportunity” by TM W which was suitable expression in Golden week.


Then we had 2 prepared speeches. The first English speech made by TM J. His speech title was “The Wind Of Change” and he used wind as metaphor to challenge something new. 

His speech encouraged to overcome failure by getting support from others and it is likely to apply various situation for many people.


The second English speech made by TM S. His speech title was “ My first camp”. He mentioned useful tips to go camping by explaining how to prepare in beforehand. His presentation pictures encourage to go outside and it was seasonal topic for holiday season.


Then, we proceed to the English table topic session. Today’s table topic master was TM W.

Q1 What is your advice to motivate and/or inspire others? : TM T answered as not to satisfy to no change situation. Q2 Which do you prefer city or nature? : Guest A san answered as nature and camping is good. Q3 What is your challenge during Golden Week? Guest C san answered as playing guitar , taking care kids, assembling. Each speaker who got Golden Opportunity to answer Table topic question was nicely answered within designated time. Excellent! 


Then we proceeded into English evaluation session. TM S evaluated TM J’s speech and TM K evaluated TM S’s speech. Both evaluators made warm but effective feedback to prepared speakers. 



We proceed to the General Evaluation session. TM K report Gracho report by strictly counting unnecessary words and collected good expressions from speeches. Then TM I reviewed whole meeting and made feedback for 3 evaluators. 


In the last, Today’s Toastmaster TM E announced best speaker of today.

第315回 通常例会 / Regular Meeting No.315

 Sunday, February 11, 2024, the first meeting of February, the online meeting was held in the morning. The meeting was held from 10:00 a.m. to noon with a total of 15 participants. And usually the meetings are separated by about one hour each for English and Japanese. Today, however, since there were one prepared speech in English and three prepared speeches in Japanese, the first half of the English session lasted about 45 minutes, while the second half of the Japanese session lasted a little over an hour. 2024年2月11日（日）、2月の1回目、今日はオンライン例会が開催されました。 1名のゲストを迎え、合計15名の参加者で、午前10時から正午までの2時間のミーティングで、通常は英語の部と日本語の部、各1時間程度ずつですが、今日は英語の準備スピーチ1名、日本語の準備スピーチが3名と言うスタイルだったことから、前半の英語の部が約45分、後半の日本語の部が約1時間強と言うスケジュールとなりました。 Today's facilitator, Toastmaster of the Morning (TMOM), was TM TS, a first-time TMOM.
