今日の第323回通常例会はオンラインで開催されました。
直接他メンバーに会いスピーチをダイレクトに聞けるオプションがあるハイブリッド例会も魅力的ですが、天気が悪かろうが、遠隔地からであろうがZoomを通して簡単に会えるというのがハイブリッドの魅力です。
今日の記録係を担当する私Wも横浜関内から離れたところに住んでいるので、このようなオンライン参加のオプションがあるのはとても嬉しいです。
さて、今日のToastmaster of the Morning（TMOM）はTさん。
Tさんも去年横浜からお仕事の都合で引っ越しされ、オンライン参加メンバーの1人。住む場所が変わっても継続できるオンライン環境があるのはやっぱりいいですね！
そんなTさんのファシリテーションの下で、オンライン例会が順調にスタートです。
TM T, who was in charge of TMOM today. She did a great job, adjusting role assigments and creating program before the meeting. Her meeting facilitation was also wonderful.
First half was done in English.
Word of the morning was "Indeed". It sounds familiar to us as a company name, doesn't it? As many members used "indeed" naturally during their speaking, they were like native speakers.
We had two prepared speeches today.
The first speaker was TM S. Her speech title was "Why don’t you study?". She shared her personal episode where she met a great mentor on her earlier currier journey as well as how he has influenced her in a good way. It reminded us of importance of having a mentor in our lives.
The second speaker was TM S. His speech title was "Reading in the Digital Age".
We were amazed by his speech. I thought again regardless of era, reading books is critical to make our lives fruitful. The more read, the more learn. The more learn, the more know. The more know, the more far we can go.
The evaluators for the speeches were TM E and TM S.
Both started with celebration of successful speech objective and then provided her feedback from positive and improvements points. They provide a balanced perspective for effective feedback using a great technique to get audience attention, such as providing the number of points before going into details.
Table Topics in English. TT master, TM K, greatly incorporated an ice break before giving questions. It was heartwarming to know that TM K used to play soccer in his younger days. The following quiestions were provided by TM K. All the assigned members delivered a prompt speech as much as possible including personal stories. It was great to get to know club member's recent updates.
1. What was the most recent sports event you attended?
2. Are you currently studying anything or do you have any plans?
3. How do you approach on reading books?
4. Have you had any noteworthy experiences recently?
後半は日本語。今日の言葉は「ゆらぎ」。
風鈴から考えた言葉とのこと。風物詩から連想される言葉を選ぶのも面白いですね。
日本語の準備スピーチは２本。
最初のスピーカーはTSさんの「最初のキャンプ」。キャンプ用品メーカーに勤務されるTSさんによる楽しく学びのあるキャンプスピーチ。今年の夏はキャンプに行こうという気持ちになりました。
２人目のスピーカーはKIさんの「チャンネル争い」。SNSが普及していなかったかつての家庭で必ずあったチャンネル争い。ユーモアがあって優しいストーリーの中に、マネジメントを問う内容が盛り込まれ、さすがVPEという素晴らしいスピーチでした。
そんなお2人のスピーチに対する論評はJLさんとKSさんがされました。
お2人とも良かった点、改善点を明確にフィードバックされました。特にどうしたらより良くなるかを具体的に例を出していて、熱意とやさしさを感じる素晴らしい論評でした。
テーブルトピックスはTTマスター、TSさんにより進行。
観光ガイドをされているTSさんのエピソードによるアイスブレークから始まり、下記の３問が出されました。皆さんだったらなにを答えますか？
① TMC入った当初、どのような準備を準備スピーチのためにしましたか
② 毎日いろんな方と会う中で、共通の話題を見つけるヒントは？
③ 需要と供給に関するエピソードがあるか？
今日の例会もあっという間に2時間が経過です。待ちに待ったアワード発表。ダダダダダダダ、ダっ。今日の受賞者は、Table Topics EnglishがHSさん、テーブルトピックス日本語がMKさん、ベスト論評者がKSさん、そしてベストスピーカーはSAさんでした。
