第328回通常例会 レポート
2024年8月25日（日）、8月の2回目、今日はハイブリッド例会が開催されました。
会場参加者9名（ゲスト2名）、オンライン参加者9名と言うバランスの取れた参加形態となりました。私はと言うと、前月のハイブリッド例会は、フィリピンからのオンライン参加でしたが、今回は、例会後のランチセッションで、リアルコミュニケーション機会を楽しみたい派なので今回は会場参加いたしました。
それでは例会についてレポートいたします。
入会式
建設会社で建築設計のお仕事をされていると言うK山さんが新たに横浜オーシャンTMCのメンバーに加わってくださりました。一緒に楽しく学んで行きましょう！
-日本語の部-
TMOM（Toastmaster
of the Morning）：司会進行担当
前エリアディレクターのOさん、いくつかのイレギュラーな事態が発生しましたが、機敏な判断とユーモア含めプログラムを時間内で最後まできっちりと進めてくれました。
今日の言葉：日本語セッション中のスピーチ等で使ってみましょう
急遽の代打でK賀さんからお住まいのエリアでお祭りが開催されているのを引き合いに出された上で、「わっしょい」を紹介してくれました。即興で使用するのは、なかなか難しい言葉でしたが、何と日本語の準備スピーチでI岡さんが早速上手に使用されていました。
日本語準備スピーチ
ベテランI岡さんが、「大部分の聴衆にとって馴染みのないトピックについて」のスピーチに取り組むプロジェクトで、夏季休暇に訪れた稚内について、市長目線で稚内についての概要並びに魅力について紹介してくれました。私も是非、日本最北端の地を訪れたいと感じました。
テーブルトピックス
日本語テーブルトピックスは、1ヶ月近い長期の夏季休暇を取得中で、前回に続き海外からオンライン参加のLさんから、以下4問が質問されました。
Q1. 夏休みはどのように過ごし、最も印象に残ったのは？ To S木さん
Q2. 訪れた場所で一番魅力的と感じたのは？ To K山さん
Q3. ひとり旅派？グループ旅派？ To
K澤さん
Q4. 旅行は、計画派？無計画派？ To
W辺さん
いずれの回答者も、テーブルトピックス制限時間を有効に使って、エピソードとユーモア交えた回答を発表してくれました。
準備スピーチへの論評
I岡さんへの論評：K賀さん
まず、スピーカーの良かった点を具体例を示して説明し、改善ポイントについては、さすが前期の論評コンテスト全国大会出場の実力を発揮、何とI岡さんがスピーチで用いたスライドのスクリーンショットを含めたスライドを準備して、詳細な提案を示してくれた素晴らしい論評でした。
休憩を挟み、後半は【英語の部】に移ります。
-English Session-
TM SA introduced the word “blazing”. Nowadays,
we admit that because of the global warming, the heat of summer has severely
become blazing. In other example is “blazing” sun.
Prepared Speeches
TM CB and TM AK delivered their speeches.
1st speaker, TM CB spoke about
her experience that she lost the sense of smell and taste due to COVID. She made
the most of the slide describing her emotions during the tough time
accordingly. She used well-organized eye-contact technique along with
comfortable pace of speaking.
2nd speaker, TM AK delivered his
first speech in TMC, which is called Ice Breaker speech. He followed his title
“Self-Introduction and Reason why I joined TMC” properly. He formally joined
our club this month, and I was able to understand his history and the
motivation to improve speech through the speech well.
English Table Topics
TM KS facilitated as the Table Topics
Master with very stable manner and asked the following 4 questions.
Q1. How do you cope with the global
warming? To TM AD
Q2. Please introduce your Favorite
Restaurant To TM CT
Q3. Please introduce a new place that you
recently visited. To TM HK
Q4. How do you take new technology? To TM SA
All the responders made good answers
including using some table topics skills that you can bring the topic to your
preferable topic in a way.
Evaluations to Prepared Speeches
1st evaluation for TM CB was
done by TM HS. He picked up many commendable points with reasons in a
comfortable manner, then shared some tips to improve.
2nd evaluation for TM AK was
taken care of by TM TS. She managed to pursue one of the most important
purposes of evaluation that motivates the speaker, then she indicated both
commendable points and improvement points from her distinctive point of view.
Grammarian and Ah Counter Report
TM CT introduced the number of filler words
used in speeches today. And many of them had great outcome with less than 1
filler words.
