第325回 オンライン通常例会 / Online Regular Meeting No.325







 2024年7月14日、第325回Zoomオンライン例会を開催いたしました。

出席会員は10名と少なめでしたが、なんとゲストが5人も参加してくれました！ありがとうございます。

 

最初のビジネスセッションでは、新会長のE藤さんから今期スローガン「Enjoy challenge and lead to growth / 挑戦を楽しみ 成長に繋げよう」の発表がありました。今年も一年間、楽しく学んでいきましょう！

 

さて、教育セッションに移ります。参加者が少ない中でも、4つの準備スピーチがありました！充実した例会には準備スピーチが欠かせません。スピーカーの皆さん、ご準備ありがとうございました。それでは、本日の例会をレポートいたします。

 

英語セッション

 

We started the English educational session.

 

Our TMOM was TM S. She organized the meeting very well, creating a warm and calm atmosphere. After the role introductions, TM S introduced the word of the day: 'awesome.' For me, 'awesome' is a tricky word because I always confuse it with 'awful.' It was nice to practice using this word today.

 

The first speaker for the prepared speech was TM L. He shared about his wife’s leadership. His speech was wonderfully motivational for everyone.

 

The second speaker was TM W, who delivered her second speech of the project “Evaluation and Feedback.” Following the feedback she received last time, she changed the speech title and challenged herself to give the speech while standing. This made her speech more energetic and conveyed her message strongly.

 

Table Topics Session

 

Next was the Table Topics session, led by TM S. Using slides, he gave us some interesting questions for impromptu speeches. It was an exciting session.

 

Q1: A place that brings you peace.

Q2: A place to work or study outside of your house.

Q3: A place with an ocean view; how does spending time there make you feel?

A guest also joined this session and gave a speech. Thank you so much!

 

Evaluation Session

 

TM K evaluated TM L's speech. His feedback included praise for the intriguing title and good depiction of the speaker’s situation. He suggested discussing his own leadership style.

 

TM E evaluated TM W's speech. She suggested that more eye contact could make the speech feel more professional and sharing the feedback the speaker received last time would help the audience understand the project speech better.

 

日本語セッション

 

休憩のあと、日本語セッションを開始しました。

 

『準備スピーチ』の3人目はJさんです。Jさんはスポーツクライミングが大好きで、オリンピックで競技を見るのも楽しみにしているそうです。特に森秋彩選手に大注目ということでした！私もオリンピック楽しみです！

 

『準備スピーチ』の4人目はTさんです。懇親会でのネットワーキングが苦手なTさん。ChatGPTからもらったアドバイスを基に、12月にある懇親会のシミュレーションを披露してくれました。懇親会に参加した結果もスピーチしてくれる予定ということですので、その結果報告のスピーチが今から待ち遠しいです。

 

日本語テーブルトピックスのセッション

 

続いて日本語テーブルトピックスのセッションです。TTマスターは再びSさんです。最近起業されたSさんは、「思考」に関する質問を出してくれました。少し難しい質問でしたが、その分スピーチに立った方の深い話をお聞きすることができました。

Q2: 「思考は現実化する」という考え方をどう思う？

Q3: ポジティブな思考を維持するための工夫は？

この日本語のセッションでもゲストが参加しスピーチしてくれました。ありがとうございました。

 

論評の部

 

Jさんのスピーチへの論評はKさんが担当しました。日本語スピーチにチャレンジしたカナダ出身のJさんに、日本語の発音に加えてメッセージの作り方や使う写真についての提案をしてくれました。

 

Tさんのスピーチへの論評はEさんが担当しました。スピーチの構成や、知らなかった知識を提供してくれたことが良かった点としてコメントしてくれました。

 

本日も楽しい例会でした。今日はゲスト5人中3人が海外出身で、日本語を勉強したいから参加してくれたとのことでした。私ももっと英語が上手くなりたい…横浜オーシャンで頑張ります！一緒に楽しく学びたい方、ぜひ横浜オーシャンで一緒に学びましょう！

第315回 通常例会 / Regular Meeting No.315

 Sunday, February 11, 2024, the first meeting of February, the online meeting was held in the morning. The meeting was held from 10:00 a.m. to noon with a total of 15 participants. And usually the meetings are separated by about one hour each for English and Japanese. Today, however, since there were one prepared speech in English and three prepared speeches in Japanese, the first half of the English session lasted about 45 minutes, while the second half of the Japanese session lasted a little over an hour. 2024年2月11日（日）、2月の1回目、今日はオンライン例会が開催されました。 1名のゲストを迎え、合計15名の参加者で、午前10時から正午までの2時間のミーティングで、通常は英語の部と日本語の部、各1時間程度ずつですが、今日は英語の準備スピーチ1名、日本語の準備スピーチが3名と言うスタイルだったことから、前半の英語の部が約45分、後半の日本語の部が約1時間強と言うスケジュールとなりました。 Today's facilitator, Toastmaster of the Morning (TMOM), was TM TS, a first-time TMOM.
