雪の朝、オンラインで学びを楽しんだ第362回通常例会

2026年2月8日、第362回通常例会をオンラインで開催しました。落ち着いた雰囲気の中にも前向きなエネルギーが感じられる、充実した例会となりました。

冒頭は会長 Tさん の挨拶からスタートしました。今朝のトーストマスターは Mさん が務め、例会全体を進行しました。本日の言葉は、英語「kindle」、日本語「余韻」で、Iさん から紹介されました。

まずは英語セッションからスタート。
英語準備スピーチでは、2名のスピーカーが登壇しました。
一つ目のTさんのスピーチでは、再度挑戦することの大切さをテーマに、聞き手に前向きなメッセージが届けられました。続くSさんのスピーチでは、「Ura-hara（表と裏）」という視点から物事を捉える内容が語られ、ストーリー性のある構成が印象に残りました。

英語テーブルトピックスは Wさん が担当しました。天気の話題をきっかけに、参加者それぞれが自身の経験をもとに即興スピーチを行い、身近なテーマから会話が広がっていきました。

評価セッションでは、英語準備スピーチに対して Kさん と Kさん が論評を担当しました。良かった点を丁寧に拾い上げながら、今後の成長につながるフィードバックが共有されました。

休憩後は日本語セッションに移りました。
日本語準備スピーチでは、Sさん が「染井吉野物語」をテーマにスピーチを行いました。桜を切り口に、日本文化や背景について学ぶことができる内容で、聞き手の関心を引く時間となりました。

日本語テーブルトピックスは Gさん が担当しました。Gさんがこの1週間で気になったことからテーマを展開し、参加者が即興で回答しました。身近な話題だからこそ、それぞれの視点が自然に共有される時間となりました。

論評では Sさん が日本語スピーチの論評を担当しました。最後の総合論評は Lさん が務め、例会全体を振り返りました。

受賞者発表の後、会長 Tさん のクロージングで、第362回通常例会は締めくくられました。

The 362nd regular meeting was held online on February 8, 2026. It was a fulfilling meeting, with a calm atmosphere combined with a sense of positive energy throughout.

The meeting began with opening remarks from TM T. TM M served as the Toastmaster of the Morning and guided the meeting overall.
The Word of the Day was “kindle” in English and “Yoin” (afterglow) in Japanese, introduced by TM I.

The meeting started with the English session.
In the English prepared speech session, two speakers took the stage.
In the first speech, TM T delivered a positive message on the importance of taking on challenges again.
This was followed by TM S’s speech, which explored the idea of “Ura-hara” (the front and back sides of things), leaving a strong impression with its storytelling structure.

The English Table Topics session was led by TM W. Starting with the topic of the weather, participants gave impromptu speeches based on their own experiences, and conversations naturally expanded from these familiar themes.

In the evaluation session, TM K and TM K evaluated the English prepared speeches. They carefully highlighted the strengths of each speech and shared feedback that will support future growth.

After the break, the meeting moved on to the Japanese session.
In the Japanese prepared speech session, TM S delivered a speech themed “The Story of Somei-Yoshino.” Through the story of cherry blossoms, the audience was able to learn about Japanese culture and its background, making it an engaging and informative time.

The Japanese Table Topics session was facilitated by TM G. Starting from something that caught TM G’s attention during the past week, the theme developed naturally, and participants responded with impromptu speeches. Because the topic was so relatable, each perspective was shared smoothly and openly.

In the evaluation section, TM S evaluated the Japanese prepared speech. The General Evaluation was delivered by TM L, who reflected on the meeting as a whole.

After the award announcements, the meeting concluded with closing remarks from TM T, bringing the 362nd regular meeting to a close.

It was another enjoyable meeting filled with learning and meaningful moments!
